Why test for radon gas?

Radon Gas is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.  Radon gas is odorless, colorless, tasteless, and can only be detected with an approved measurement testing device.

Per the EPA, approximately 1 out of every 5 homes in the US are found to have levels ABOVE the EPA Action Level.   MN Dept of Health estimates 2 of every 5 in our state.   The only way to know is to test.  Test levels can vary between two houses, side by side, in the same neighborhood.

Simple 3 Step Process

STEP # 1 - YOUR PART -CLOSED BUILDING *IMPORTANT*

Closed building conditions must be maintained 12 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, and throughout the testing period. 

For a valid test, all windows and doors MUST be closed (except normal entry and exit)

Step # 2 - TOGETHER- DOCUMENTS-PLACEMENT -  TEST BEGINS

A typical 15-25 minute appointment:

Meet & Greet

Signing of required documents              Placement of the testing device in the lowest livable level of the home

Posting, testing, signage, and security measures to ensure an accurate test result.

STEP # 3 - OUR PART - RETRIEVE DEVICE - UPLOAD - REPORT

Testing is complete after at least 48 hours

We retrieve the device

Data is downloaded onsite and available within minutes.

We email you the detailed lab report and we review onsite.

If your measurement is at, or above, the EPA Action Level, we provide you contact information for approved mitigation providers.
